The Hard drive is spinning up and than cutting out, it does this once than spins back up. This actually may be the hard drive itself, as I just tried it in the vista computer and it is reading Disk boot faliure.

I can tell this device was made for more than just cloning because it has a Built in Card Reader and 2 USB ports on the front so it's not the wrong device. The only instructions that came with the device are to do with cloning. Or a different SATA drive that is from a different computer and not from the NAS. I am running Windows 7, and have also tried this on windows Vista, I have installed the entire contents of the driva CD on both computers and still I get the same results. But I can not access the drive from my computer or anywhere else.
